bike masters küblis

i was not fully recovered from the gigathlon, so i decided to do the medium loop around küblis. it was 75 k's and 3000m of climbing. i did my best, but i had not my super legs, like the week before.
after the first big hill (20 k's of climbing...) i shifted into some easier gears and had 1 hour not going full throttle. it seams that my body needed that. so i was ready for the madrisa-uphill where i found my rhythm and could win some places.
overall i finished 27th in the medium loop, 9th in the categorie. not too bad. not too good.
just a race. but a good one, i'll be back for the big 105k's next year. and ready to rock!

gigathlon - 6th place!

it was a great weekend in st. gallen. my gigathlon team th-aviation-connexions took 6th place in the team ranking! what a surprise after 16h 54min of suffering!

thanks to my team-mates martina, ivonne, eric and isidor. great people and performance!

my part was to cycle and i had great legs for the 2 splits. up to the faschina- and furkajoch on 'hilly saturday' i could set the 6th time overall and could prove it again on the 'flowing

sunday'.

gigathlon pre and after race

my gigathlon experience was quite cool. after 3 years in the organisation crew i could enjoy it again as an athlete! and it was just great!

boe mühlethurnen vs. gigathlon

yesterday i competed at the boe cycling race in mühlethurnen.

i almost could break away in the last loop, but after some k's the little field caught me again.
in the final sprint i had no chance and took the 5th place in my categorie.

tomorrow i'll go for the gigathlon. biggest team-event in europe. i am starting for the team: TH Aviation ConneXions. looking forward to pedal as hard as it gets. get the hammer down!

biennathlon

the team alpenflitzer asked me to be their mountainbiker. why not! it was fun to be part of a team i did not know. and finally we were more successful than we thought!

our inliner came in the first third of the field. andrea, our fast swimming woman, caught almost 50 teams and i wae were already 24th when i started. came back as about 8th place. our runner set a very high pace and we finished 4th! 191 teams finished. quite cool!

the course was very very nice! uphill from biel to magglingen in with some cool single trails back to the lake. pretty fun. next time we'll fight for the podium, that's for sure, since we were just 1 minute back of the second team.
